Access to Aberdeen couldn't be easier thanks to the City's convenient and central transport links. Aberdeen is at the hub of an extensive communications network, making it directly accessible by air from major cities around Europe and the UK, while express rail services, trunk roads and a comprehensive public transport system in the city itself provide excellent links to all corners of the globe.

 

AIR

Aberdeen International Airport serves over three million passengers a year with flights to over 40 destinations by more than 20 airlines. With 15 flights a day to London, and well connected to major hubs including Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Frankfurt. It is also one of the world's busiest commercial heliports, transporting more than 500,000 helicopter passengers in support of the North Sea oil and gas industry. RAIL

If travelling by rail, Aberdeen Railway Station provides services to destinations throughout Britain including a regular sleeper service to central London. The city can be reached by rail from London in less than seven hours and from Edinburgh and Glasgow in just over two and a half hours. Aberdeen Railway Station is situated centrally and is a short walk from the main thoroughfare, Union Street. ROAD

Modern road links with the South provide fast and efficient access to Aberdeen City - the A90, which is accessible from both the east and west sides of the country with no cross-over required - is one of the easiest road routes in the UK. Click here for your journey planner.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Jet Service 727 provides a direct link between Aberdeen Airport and the City Centre. The Jet 727 departs from Union Square bus station and the Airport at regular intervals throughout the day.
