NATIONAL ARENAS ASSOCIATION COMES TO AECC 16/05/12

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) are delighted that the National Arenas Association (NAA) will be heading to Aberdeen on 17th May for their quarterly meeting.

The NAA was founded in 1991 as a forum for managers of large-scale concert and event venues, these monthly meets provide a platform for industry debates and to establish best practice methods and industry standards for a constantly evolving industry.  AECC is a member, as are the majority of the UK's Arenas.

AECC, as host for this month's meeting, are looking forward to showing the NAA committee members the delights of the North-East and part of this visit focuses on a tour of Fyvie Castle, promoting the rich history of the area.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC's Managing Director, said: "The NAA is an invaluable organisation, in this business our peers are based far and wide, and these meetings are key to allow the industry to share knowledge and keep performing at optimum levels."

Geoff Huckstep, Chairman of NAA commented: "It has been a few years since the NAA visited Aberdeen for its meeting, the members are looking forward to enjoying some traditional Scottish hospitality whilst at the same time discussing some of the key issues facing the live music and concert industry in the months ahead".
