HAT TRICK FOR MELDRUM HOUSE - GRAMPIAN’S BEST RESTAURANT FOR THIRD TIME 11/06/12

Luxury country house hotel and golf course, Meldrum House has added to its growing list of accolades by scooping the Grampian Restaurant of the Year title for the third consecutive time.  The hotel's dining room, which recently received 2 AA rosettes for its food, beat off competition from other leading restaurants across the region to receive the Award, which was judged by Michelin starred chef, Bruce Sangster.

Peter Walker, General Manager of Meldrum House said: "Gaining the Grampian Restaurant of the Year title for the third time in a row is a real coup. We are committed to providing our diners with great quality, locally sourced produce. Our head chef, David Bruce does an excellent job of utilizing Grampian's rich larder to develop innovative and delicious food for our customers and it is brilliant to see these efforts rewarded."

The Dining Room at Meldrum House serves lunches, afternoon teas and dinners with the menu changed seasonally to incorporate the very freshest local ingredients.

Peter Walker continued: "We want Meldrum House to exemplify everything a luxury hotel should be from offering stylish elegant rooms to friendly, attentive service and fabulous food.  Gaining awards provides a real boost to everyone who works here and shows that we are delivering on our promises to customers.  Last year Meldrum House was named Scottish Wedding Hotel of the Year in the Scottish Hotel Awards and Scotland's Best Country House Hotel in the Golf Tourism Awards, now we have the Grampian Restaurant of the Year Award 2012 to add to the list."

Meldrum House is also shortlisted in the "Hotel Star" category at this year's Trend Life with Style Awards. The winners will be announced at the Marcliffe Hotel in Aberdeen on June 14th.
