CIVIC VENUES

The Town and County Hall, The Town House

The Town House is a very beautiful building, built between 1867 and 1873. It includes the St Nicholas Room, with its impressive armorial ceiling and the Town and County Hall in the medieval style with its ceiling reminiscent of Flemish influences.

Aberdeen Art Gallery 

The splendid Art Gallery, which opened in 1885, is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. In its elegant marble-lined interior is displayed a varied collection of works of art, including outstanding examples of Modern Art, and work by the Impressionists and the Scottish Colourists. Visitors can also see contemporary craft, Aberdeen silver and a wide range of decorative art.

The Beach Ballroom

Over the years the Beach Ballroom has played host to an ever-widening range of events and functions, from Royal visits, corporate dinner dances, graduation balls to exhibitions and conferences. Since the Ballroom was built early last century it has seen many changes but still intact is the dance floor which floats on fixed steel springs and gives dancers that extra bounce.

Aberdeen Maritime Museum

Aberdeen Maritime Museum is an unrivalled location for all manner of functions, with its stunning views over the harbour, fascinating story for Aberdeen's long association with the sea and its mix of architectural styles. First class facilities are available for a wide range of functions from evening group visits, meetings and conferences to corporate hospitality. The auditorium is available to hire for film shows, talks and other special events and is fully  equipped for audio video presentations.

SPECIALIST VENUES

Elphinstone Hall

One of the most stunning venues available at the University of Aberdeen is the baronial Elphinstone Hall, designed and built in 1930.  The Hall benefits from a high volume of natural light, which accentuates the hammer-beam roof and oak-panelled walls. This combined with some of the oldest oil canvas paintings in Scotland, creates a truly unique backdrop for a gala dinner or drinks reception.

The Gordon Highlanders Museum

The Gordon Highlanders Museum is one of Aberdeen's leading 5* Visitor Attractions and prides itself on it's warm, professional and customer-focussed service. National Trust for Scotland - Crathes Castle

A truly spectacular Scottish castle built in the 16th century with a profusion of turrets, gargoyles and towers, and surrounded by superb gardens including ancient sculpted yew trees.  A marquee can be erected in the grounds to offer dining for up to 300 guests.

National Trust for Scotland - Haddo House

One of Scotland's grandest stately homes, Haddo is a wonderful combination of crisp Georgian architecture and sumptuous Victorian interiors, surrounded by a terrace garden leading to the country park. A drinks reception can be held in the house and dinner/dance in the Canadian Hall adjacent to the house itself.

National Trust for Scotland - Fyvie Castle

One of the finest baronial castles in Scotland and often described as a palace, Fyvie dates back to the early 13th century. Set in fantastic 18th-century designed parklands with its own private loch, Fyvie Castle is only 30 minutes from Aberdeen Airport. The castle is steeped in history, myth and legend and is the perfect location for large or intimate functions.  For numbers over 120 a marquee would be erected on the front lawns looking onto the impressive castle façade.

National Trust for Scotland - Drum Castle

Set in wonderful grounds and situated only 10 miles west of Aberdeen amid an ancient oak forest at the gateway to Royal Deeside, Drum is simply unique. Medieval history, Jacobean romance and Victorian opulence combine to striking effect.  The floodlit facade greets the arrival of guests - often accompanied by the sound of a lone piper. Large events can be held in a marquee.
